Evils of drunken driving
This lesson is about the dangers of drunken driving. Alcohol weakens the control and coordination in body. Hence, driving under the influence of alcohol can be life threatening.

Good eyesight and safe driving
A good eyesight is important for safe driving
This lesson is about importance of good eyesight for driving. This lesson also explains various tools which increase visibility while driving in night, in dense fog and during rams.

Which type of bulb is used in fog lamps?
Answer:
Tungsten-halogen bulb which produces yellow light is used in fog lamps.

How does a yellow and transparent tape help in driving under foggy conditions?
Answer:
Yellow colour is in the middle of spectrum of white light.
Hence, yellow light experiences least scattering even in fog. Thus, yellow light is visible from a distance even in fog. This helps in knowing other drivers about your presence.

This lesson shows the importance of alertness for driving. Lack of alertness can result in accidents which can be fatal. One can enjoy a safe ride by self control, by cooperating with other drivers and obeying traffic rules.

Lamps and Mirrors
This lesson is about types of mirror used in vehicles. Concave mirror is used in reflector of headlight, while convex mirror is used in rear view mirror and side mirror. These mirrors help the driver in safe driving.

Answer:
Given; Potential difference = 12 V, Power = 60 W and current = ?
Current can be calculated as follows:
Question 2:
One horse power (hp) is equal to 746 W and a car produces 75 hp. Calculate the energy consumed (in terms of joule) by car in one second.
Answer:
1 hp = 746 W
So, 75 hp = 746 x 75 = 55750 W = 55750 Joule per second
Question 3:
Why does a battery get discharged if it is not used for a long time?
Answer:
Even if a battery is not in use, the chemical reaction keeps on going inside it; though at a slower pace. Hence, a battery gets discharged if it is not used for a long time.
